Maica Trinidad

Agile & Lean coach
I am an organizational consultant, change agent, facilitator, and trainer. Border-crossing, hybrid, and holistic to the core. I specialize in corporate cultural change processes toward Agile and Lean approaches. I help organize self-managed, high-performance teams that can improve processes by eliminating waste (everything that does not add business value) to improve outcomes and business viability. I come from the field of Social Sciences, where for more than 20 years I have managed innovative social intervention and participatory research projects. I am convinced that we need to bring tools and concepts from this field into the world of business and engineering, because in the end everything is about people, and people are social and adaptive beings. Around 2010 I discovered agile methodologies and began helping different companies (from startups to large multinationals) in their cultural transformation, which allows me to apply my knowledge in project management, leadership, and corporate culture to the creation of highly competitive software products developed by motivated teams and people.

Beyond the code: skills for developing software as a team

Learning languages, tools, or methodologies is only part of the journey. What really transforms a career in technology happens beyond the code: in the way we communicate, collaborate, and learn with other people. This talk is an invitation to pause and think about the skills that make a team work, that bring an idea to life, that turn a mistake into learning. We’ll talk about how to integrate into a team without losing your voice, how to receive feedback, how to understand the real value of what’s being built. Because working in technology isn’t just about writing code: it’s about creating something that matters, together, from curiosity, collaboration, and shared purpose.
