A Disturbance in the Agile Force

Times have changed; the Waterfall empire is regaining ground. Agile teams, lost due to the lack of clear leadership, are failing in their working strategies. I sense a disturbance in the Force. The confederation of tech organizations has spent years trying to transform, to adapt to new environments in this galaxy where change is the only constant that prevails. Are they succeeding? As in all great battles, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Agile is a mindset that’s easy to understand and hard to apply. One of the weapons available to an Agile team is eXtreme Programming, which offers tools to train technical excellence, with its values and practices, and thus awaken the teams’ force. In this talk we will discover how XP goes beyond writing quality code, prioritizing the experience of development teams and unleashing their full potential. I will share stories of how I’ve guided organizations that have embarked on their journey: a path to discovering new Agile dimensions within teams, with their mistakes and successes. A transformation toward a culture of responsibility and collaboration in product creation. Get ready for a series of real cases that seem straight out of science fiction.
